Erik Pohls – Director of Tennis
Meet Erik Pohls, our Director of Tennis, dedicated to building strong relationships to achieve maximum results.
A native of Laguna Beach, CA, Erik now resides in Naples, FL, and is in his fifth year as part of the elite tennis pro staff at Kensington Country Club. With 28 years of coaching experience, Erik holds multiple certifications, including RSPA Elite 1, USPTA (United States Professional Tennis Association), ICI (International Coaches Institute), and RPT (Registro Profesional de Tenis).
His journey in tennis began as a top junior player in both the U.S. and Colombia, eventually leading him to coach some of the highest-ranking junior players nationally and internationally. As a touring coach, he travels to state and national tournaments with his elite junior players. In 2012, while coaching in Alabama, Erik was the runner-up for the USTA and USPTA Professional of the Year award.
Beyond developing top-tier junior players, Erik enjoys coaching adults. Before joining Kensington CC, he spent five years as the Senior Tennis Pro at Bay Colony Club in Naples, FL, and worked at prestigious clubs in the Hamptons, Chicago, and Toronto. Erik brings passion, energy, and creativity to every lesson. When he's not on the court, you’ll likely find him at the gym or spending time with his family—his wife of 19 years, Veronica, and their 8-year-old son, Elias.

Patrick Wyeth – Assistant Director of Tennis
Meet Patrick Wyeth, our Assistant Director of Tennis.
Born and raised on Cape Cod, 27-year-old Patrick grew up competing in junior tournaments across the U.S., achieving career-high rankings of #1 in Massachusetts, #3 in New England, and #75 nationally. He finished his high school career as a 4-star recruit before playing for the Boston College Men’s Tennis Team.
After graduating from BC in 2019, Patrick worked professionally in cybersecurity for three years while teaching part-time in the summer of 2024 at Wequassett Resort in Harwich, MA.
Tennis runs in Patrick’s family—his father, Jamie, a tennis instructor, started coaching him at just six years old. Currently, Patrick holds a 5.5 USTA rating and an 11 UTR. His passion and commitment to the sport and teaching are evident in everything he does.
If he’s not on the court, you’ll likely find Patrick working out or playing golf.
